Coach Tori played club volleyball with Peel Selects, Team Ontario Beach and Varsity volleyball at Wilfrid Laurier University. She has competed for Canada on the International Beach volleyball stage for years including: at the U21 World Championships, FIVB world tour events, NORCECA tour and FISU World University Games. In 2015 she was a Canadian National beach volleyball Champion. Coach Tori is also a Naturopathic Doctor which is beneficial for her team athletes! She has coached with Phoenix for 9 years on the beach and indoor and has worked with a wide array of athletes and age groups. Fun fact - this past October Coach Tori was part of Canada’s first ever 4 on 4 beach volleyball team to bring home a bronze medal from Qatar at the ANOC World Beach Games!

Julien has been playing volleyball since he was 13 years old. During his club years, his teams consistently finished in the top three in the province. In high school, he was a part of the Team Ontario Indoor Team for 1 year and the Team Ontario Beach team for 3 years. He was then recruited to play for the Windsor Lancers men’s volleyball team, where he played as a middle for the past five years. In 2023, the Lancers team achieved a historic milestone by finishing 2nd in the OUA for the first time in the program’s history. In the same year, Julien was a member of the Beach Next-Gen Summer Team, where he had the opportunity to train with some of the best beach volleyball athletes in Canada. Julien regularly plays in various beach tournaments across Canada. We are very lucky to have him dedicate some of his time to the Ignite team!

Cathy is a former middle blocker for Wilfred Laurier University. She has been a women’s competitive player for 30+ years. She is a former physical education specialist with the TDSB. She is a level 1 developmental coach and has coached across the province, including with the Waterloo Tigers, Thundercats, YRDSB, as well as at Olympia Sports Camp. Cathy brings a wealth of knowledge. This will be Cathy's second year with the Fire team. They are lucky to have her!

Emily has an extensive background in volleyball, having competed in the Ontario Volleyball Association for five seasons with Forest City Volleyball Club and London Volleyball Club. She played varsity volleyball and soccer at George Brown College for three years and competed in the OVA beach tour for two seasons. Emily has also been active in coaching, assisting with LVC summer camps, serving as head coach at Madawaska beach camps, coaching with the Beach Volleyball Academy for four years, and assisting the junior boys volleyball team at South Collegiate Institute.

Andrea has coached indoor volleyball comps for almost 5 years and has assisted various teams for the past 4. Andrea played club volleyball for 4 years and led her high school team to 3 TCDSB finals, coming in second in her grade 11 year and winning gold in her grade 9 and 12 years. Andrea is a great addition to the Ignite team and leads the team with ease and passion.
